The Hunting Experience

Hunts typically begin around 1:00 PM and last three to four hours, influenced by bird activity and weather conditions. Once you’ve reached your bag limit, our guides will assist you in locating your harvest and answer any queries you may have, ensuring a fulfilling hunting session.

To reserve your Mourning Dove hunt, please provide your full name and contact details. Attendance is expected once a reservation is made, and payment is required at this time. Note that failure to attend without prior notice may incur a charge. The cost for each hunter is $200.

Essential Gear for Mourning Dove Hunting

Recommended Equipment and Clothing

For a successful hunt, we recommend the following:

– Wear camouflage or dark blue jeans and a camouflage hat to blend in with the environment.

– Use twenty-gauge or twelve-gauge shotguns, with a three-shell capacity limit.

– Bring at least three boxes of low brass shot shells (#7.5 or #8).

– Additional items include a cooler for harvested doves, a seat for comfort between flights, stationary mourning dove decoys, and a small cooler for drinks (alcohol is prohibited).

Licensing and Legal Requirements

All hunters must possess a valid hunting license and a migratory bird permit. Familiarity with the regulations set by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is essential. We advise visiting their websites for the most current information.
